As part of "Go Green Night" Anyone who shows up in green will receive off any ticket, and get this: Anyone who rides their bike to the Forum will receive free admission! Also, all fans will receive a green rally towel. I think the marketing team hit a home-run with this game, eh?

TB: I don’t own a bike anymore, can I ride on your handlebars? Or do you have pegs. lmao.
Since there are like NO houses or apartments in downtown, I wonder how many people are going to drive to downtown, park in a parking garage, and ride their bike up to the Forum. I guess all the people on and around Bayshore could do it, but they probably have sweet seats anyway.
But, it’s good marketing campaign for the Lightning.
That is a dynamite idea and for a game vs the Canes, no less.
This concept should be adopted by teams around the league. Of course, the Oilers may want to wait for March before they get people riding around Edmonton on bikes.
Too bad the trip to Florida is too far for me to bike… That’s a great promo idea, I agree with the guy above, every team shoudl do that.
Besides, it would make all the Carolina fans who wear Harford jerseys really Happy.
It is a great Idea. But I couldn’t ride my bike 35 miles to get to the Panthers arena from home. In a city setting like Tampa it works.
That’s a GREAT idea. Kudos to the Lightning for thinking that up and putting the environment first and revenue second, even if it’s just for one night. I’d show up except I would have to take a jet down there, which uses up a lot of fuel, or drive, which also takes up a lot of fuel (even for a sexy 1.6 litre, 4-cylinder Civic), and that’ll just defeat the whole purpose. lol
And screw the rest of you guys who wants me to bike down. I’m not biking from Toronto down to Tampa Bay. lol
Another good one by the Lightning marketing crew..
Hey TB– be sure to pull up your pants before you start your ride… They will get you for "pedaling crack" down by the forum.. LOL…
Wow, and people wonder why the Lightning have such a great fanbase. With promotions like this, and all the other stuff the team does around Tampa, no wonder their attendance is always through the roof. This is part of why the Lightning are my 3rd favorite team.
~
BTW, can’t you just drive there, take you bike, park you car at a bar next to the arena, take your bike out and ride several hundred feet to the arena? Who would know?
